Game modes

John Hunter's Egyptian expedition runs on a 5x3 grid with ten fixed lines, and it moves between three documented states: the ordinary left-to-right game, a free spins round built around a chosen expanding symbol, and an ante mode that makes every base spin behave like the feature.

Base Game

This is the default state the other two modify: ten fixed lines pay left to right from the leftmost reel, only the highest win per line counts, and multi-line wins are added together. The golden Book serves as both Wild and Scatter here, and three or more of it landing anywhere is the transition that carries play into the Free Spins round.

Free Spins

The move happens two ways: 3, 4 or 5 Books landing anywhere, or a direct purchase at 100x the current total bet.
